The Tony Goodacre FAN CLUB was formed in August 1975 by Pete & Bette Sewell. Three years later, Brian Hayes took over as secretary, and since then has attracted members from all over the world, all walks of life, and all age groups. Every three months, members receive a highly informative newsletter, giving full details of all Tony's latest news and recordings, as well as a comprehensive list of all his future bookings. Honorary FAN CLUB President is George Hamilton IV, who first heard Tony sing at the Nashville Rooms in London in 1969 at the post Wembley Festival B.C.M.A. get-together. The following week, George was due to appear all week at the famous Batley Variety Club, quite close to where Tony lived in Leeds. They met up several times that week, became good friends, and have kept in close contact ever since. The best way to keep up to date with all Tony Goodacre news is to join the FAN CLUB. Subscriptions are just £3 for 12 months, £5 for 24. Just send a cheque or postal order, (made payable to The Tony Goodacre FAN CLUB) to Brian Hayes at the above address. Family members at the same address just count as one member for subscriptions, but will be given separate membership numbers if requested.
