Re: Margo Price + Andrew Combs concert

Watched Andrew Combs at C2C and thought he was just OK. I have since listened to his album and enjoyed it a lot. Margo Price, I thought her album wasnt anything special. I'm surprised, Peter. To me Margo Prices' album is one of the best this year, but different strokes ect. I am not sure how Andrew...

Re: UK COUNTRY NEWS Updates & Features

Thank you Kev! Well done on getting that pick! I look a bit grumpy there, I was just a bit tired at that point. I had just got to the festival, was tired & took one of the few available seats. I realised after that it was just behind the artist table where merchandise is sold & the acts come...

Re: "Nashville" Season 5

I think the music standard in "Nashville" dropped ever since T Bone Burnette gave up duties as music director.

Re: Margo Price + Andrew Combs concert

Thanks Livewirer

I really enjoyed the show and she got a great reception.

Marren Morris picked up a lot of nominations. Maybe she hasn't ruffled as many feathers as Margo!
I will check out Andrew Combs on Spotify.

Margo Price + Andrew Combs concert

Margo Price's UK tour reached London last night with an outstanding performance at The Scala in King's Cross. Opening act was Andrew Combs who did a short acoustic solo set, accompanying himself on guitar. He couldn't be more different from the big strutting male country stars we usually see combing...

No, I think this might be...............

Yeah, that is pretty poor.

Sometimes I think Willie seems like he can't be bothered. He looks pretty rough there, too.

Re: "Nashville" Season 5

Yeah, I suppose Rayna is one of the more "normal" well-balanced people in the show. Her drama seems to come through Deacon & her kids. I would very much miss her if she went. I think both Rayna and Juliet are essential to "Nashville" & Deacon is pretty close to being esse...

Re: Best Death Songs

Agree. I think cover versions where people try to replicate the original are pointless.

I can't really listen to anyone else sing El Paso. I have a few collections of reggae covers of country songs, but the one I can't get into is the cover of "El Paso". They should just leave it alone.

Re: "Nashville" Season 5

Yeah, not a very inspiring performance.
What do you think of his "country" album? I feel only a couple of songs on there. I did like, however, the duet he did with Carrie Underwood at either the CMA's or ACM's some years ago.

Re: Country Exclusives!!! The latest news

The bad grammar of Justin Moore's new album title, "Kinda Don't Care",(Does that actually mean anything?) bothers me, but to his credit Justin intervened to tell a man throwing an object at a woman in the audience, saying that he won't stand for people disrespecting women! Meanwhile, Flori...

"Nashville" Season 5

NASHVILLE- SEASON 4 Did anyone else catch the opening episode of season 4 of "Nashville" on Sky Living on Thursday night? I thought it was superb, and will give my observations, but first I have a problem. I am not a Sky subscriber, but Sky living is included in my Virgin package. So, i ca...

Re: Best Death Songs

Death songs you say. Well, you can't beat country music when it comes to death songs. It's one genre that never flinches from considering our own mortality. But I'll play along and limit it to five songs only. In no particular order ... 1. El Paso - Marty Robbins. The king of death songs everywhere...

Best Death Songs

I was listening to Radio 2 this evening- they played "Safe & Sound" which took me back a few years when death/ bereavement was still very fresh to me. I listened to that song all the time & to me it was about dying and joining the one you loved. It will have different meanings for ...
