Hi LOM an' I guess we all get hit by this weather we have been suffering lately. How many gigs etc cancelled at short notice I wonder ?. Anyways you seem to have got a good thing running and I hope it keeps going from strength to strength. Its good to get away from the amplified scene from time to t...

The best we can do on the Island is the MICA CENTRE which a couple of years ago played host to Hank Wangford but that is as good as it has got thus far John. I think the cost of entrance was a tenner. Hank played two nights and both sold out. Centre holds I guess 250ish so nothing compared with othe...

Thus far Foot-tapper we all seem to use this gizzmo in similar fashion and like you I would be interested to see how other folks may be doing things differently in this regard.

Yep I go along with you on this one John - even to the extent that when I am 'oop North I always change one lyric of God Blessed Texas to God Blessed Essex which always produces a lot of light hearted exchange during my set breaks. Wherever you live does not bother me in the slightest and I guess al...

Tks John for the links and as usual sound (pardon the pun) advice coming from someone who's done a bit in his time.

I agree that plugs are not to everyones' liking but as you advise I will try them out before committing.

Hi Guys an' what would any of you recommend to use as an in ear monitor system preferably wireless ? In my case it would forego the need to cart around a Peavey powered wedge !! Have been experimenting with Iphone type earplugs but find that due to the shortish leads that come with these things I ha...

Hi Hitman an' the second way I described perhaps 'rings' higher. I have just tried it using both options. However I did not hear any variation in pitch when using the Barre on the 7th fret for the B type chord in option 1 and the A shape using the capo on the 2nd fret in option 2 - they both sounded...

I use both Aiden - I guess both methods achieve much the same result. Folsom Prison in Open chords thus :- E A B7 E Capo on 2nd fret and play D shapes D G A D Second option probably easier for folks if concerned about B7 and the pitch is of course higher. So both options work depending on ability to...

Yeah - If the Cap(o) fits........ I would think that if some folks can only manage 3 chords then perhaps the Capo gives them a bit more scope whilst giving them time to get more chords under their belt. I guess most of us on here can give a good account of themselves, some more than others, but I fo...

Hi John an y'all an' yes I have sorted my Line6 X3 Pro out to about as far as I can get with it at the minute. Its a long process for me trying to get to grips with it but quite enjoyable once you get the sound set ups that you are comfortable with. A lot of folks on the Island seem to have gorn for...

I'm with you there Yeskev - I too though it came over well although we only got to see what the producers wanted us to see but there you go. It was very obvious that the scene in Texas and Nashville is so much different than that over here and what about the car she was driving - I think that all we...

Dont know exactly what you mean RamblinJack but maybe something like this ? I have not had a detailed look on how it all just works and fits in or if there is a cost attached to it. I think that all folks who want to join the 'Band' record their individual track inputs and then the whole thing is mi...
