Had a great time in Wichita Falls for the Legends of Western Swing festival last week. Here a clip of Dave Alexander and "Western Boogie". Watch out for 93 year old Billy Briggs on saxophone, one of Bob Wills original Texas Playboys and still playing the same instrument he used in the Playboys!

Here's a piece from a local paper in Texas ... not sure who they're referring to!! http://www.timesrecordnews.com/story/en ... 102777556/

I was interviewed by a TV crew but don't think I was included in the report!

Yeah, all indoors (thankfully - it was flaming hot, over 100 degrees on Saturday, even the flippin' wind was hot!!), one big hall split between seating areas and two dance floors. Brilliant sound. Really can't fault the set-up at all ... just a shame AATW seemed to be going through the motion!

And I'll tell you the other interesting thing: just two English blokes ... and we both celebrated our birthday on Friday 16th June!!! Too spooky for words! Shouldn't complain though, got given 5 CDs cos it was my b'day!!
