Thought this topic would have been more popular. Perhaps the holiday season has put the dampeners on it, or perhaps a general interest in committing the pen to paper, so to speak, has got in the way.
Anyway to soldier on in the A section I've thought of another 3.

Balham Alligators.
Wild Angel.
Alabama 3.

Suspect more to come

Brian, I hate to quible. But shouldn't Balham Alligators and Wild Angel be under B & W respectively?
With group names I would have thought the first name would be thge defining one.

With peoples names I go for the surname
To research this thread I had a look at some American A to Z sites & found most of them using the first name of singers as the determiner. eg Alan Jackson comes under A in their list
This annoys me almost as much as people mixing up To & Too & There & their
Causes me to tear out my hair
May be why I am bald

Brian, record producers get royalties on records they produce. Your namesake has produced some very succesful albums
Do any of his royalties find their way into your bank account, I wonder??

Moshe I don't have a problem with your quibble. Thing is that the fans will not know them by their first name much in the same way as with using first names for individuals. In the two cases both initials are dominant to the identity of the said bands so should count. For example if you said The Belham's without adding the second name folks would say who. Same goes for Wild. Same if you said Jackson without the first name. Is it Alan, Shot, Carl or whoever........It's only a game mate but I am pleased that it has caused you to research the subject.....might go down this road myself and go into Europe and even world country music. This might even confuse the likes of Christian . To be honest I have some working knowledge of all the names I have added but none what so ever of most that lo&m gleaned from our German friend. All part of the fun my friend :D.

   lo&m I just don't have that kind of luck. But I wonder if he got any of my dosh for syndicated scripts over the years.....there's been a few that have travelled in the past I assure you.

Wish I had a brass farthing for the times that writers have used my research to enhance their articles and promo pieces. This was before copy and paste came onto the scene. Don't get me wrong Publicity and Promotional material is generally presented for the copy and paste market without name check but I do wish that credits were condoned and used when this happened. Much in the same way as happens with music.......or should do. Quite a few times lately I have heard acts claim a song of one of their own when that is not quite true......same as I have seen writers credit the singer with the song instead of the actual writer.......better go get a coffee cos I am winding myself up.....again

I saw the Balham Alligators back in the Eighties. Are they still going?? BTW I used to live in the swamplands of Balham so held this outfit in some affection (tho I don't know if they had any connection with balham)
