Faith Hill, Willie Nelson and Rodney Akins were all adopted while Dale Evans adopted four children making her the odd one out.

Livewirer's blog contained a piece on Hill, Nelson and Sarah Mclaghan as adopted children speaking up for an adoption charity. I used Akins instead of McLaghan because he's more of a country singer. The blog still places Hill and Nelson together as a clue. Obviously not enough of a clue.

Blimey you turn your back for a couple of days and get a post delated, even though the answer was correct

So it was Dale Evans after all even though it was for the wrong reason

Thats the problem when the game becomes a quiz. It can have too many answers dependant on the game setter and the clues offered  Bit like the Olympics though when the judge has the final say over the competitors ........play on buddies... its good fun and kills a hour for us old folk :rflmao:

Another guesse. Brooks and Dunn being the only of these acts that is no more? The Dixie Chicks have not officially broken up & the other guys pictured are still performing. But B&D have called it a day

No, the connection comes from when B&D and the Chicks were still touring.

Almost forgot about this. When Keith Urban first moved to America, he found work as a guitar player in the touring bands of Alan Jackson, Brooks and Dunn and the Dixie Chicks.

Blimey. So Keith is the odd one out because he has worked for all the others. You learn something new every day! :D

This is not my odd-one-out. In fact, it's not strictly a odd-one-out question. BBC news website have been running a quiz of the year over the past four days. 52 questions, one for each week. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-20761954 As part of it they have posted four picture clues. These pictures ...
Image
They ask, "What is the link between the images over the four days?"

I cannot identify pics 1 and 2. Pic 3 is Paul Simon and 4 is a thistle. So I'm turning over to you folks. Can you identify 1 and 2?
