How do you find your ISP address ?

Not the name you log in with. The address your provider allocates you that identifies your PC.

Hi Lonesome,

I think you mean IP address, rather than ISP address.
Simply go to any 'My IP' website (such as http://www.ip-adress.com/) and your IP address will be displayed.

Hope that helps.

Hi Jammin,

I tried the link. It gave a series of numbers, I assume these identify my PC. It also gave the location of my IP address as Solihull, Birmingham.
My home, where my PC is, is in North Yorkshire. Does this mean, therefore, that the IP address is at the location of the service provider ?

I apologise if these sound like stupid questions, but I am, to quote Dixie, "technically naive".

Hi Lonesome,

Yes, pretty much correct - there's a (fairly) simple explanation here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_address
