A bit of advance notice here.
FRIDAY 22nd NOVEMBER. BBC 4

Another "themed" evening from BBC4, but this one actually sounds interesting, & with some new shows
9PM JOHN DENVER:COUNTRY BOY. A new bio feature on the singer-songwriter
10PM COUNTRY AT THE BBC- another compilation of clips from the archives BBC 4 are always showing. This one includes Tammy Wynette,Emmylou, Cash, Pride Wille, Dolly and Garth.
11PM JOHN DENVER AT WEMBLEY ARENA. Another new screening. This one is of Denver's 1979 performance at the Arena.
11:40 Sounds of the 70's:guilty pleasures. 10cc, Denver, The Carpenters, Dr Hook, Exile & so on
Followed by a repeat of Glen Campbell docu at 12:10AM

I wonder if this is 'another compilation' or just the same one that keeps popping up from time to time?

I'm not sure, but they always seem to be playing the same clips.

Not a great fan of John Denver but the BBC4 bios are usually good.

I'm in two minds about John Denver. He wrote some great songs, one of the best, IMO, "Rocky Mountain High", which has some great imagery. "Sunshine On My Shoulders" also appeals to me,
