On the subject of Luke & Mel, about half their audience walked out long before the end on saturday night in Lowton, mostly due to the poor choice of material.

'Legends Of Country'...............Please tell me this a joke and that Bob Harris did not give that track airtime.

It's an insult to British country music artistes striving to be taken seriously.

Does beg the question who they are and how much money does it take to get that drivel on Radio 2?

Yes, he played it. I don't know who Legends of Country are but while there was some country-type instrumentation going on in the background, the track doesn't have much of a country feel to it. Fails the KK test. Just my 2p.
Country is a state of mind, not a state of America.

Of course!! How could I forget that?
I've used that quote myself.
But what sounds country may vary according to space, time & the boundaries of perception. Look- or listen - through the key hole.
I'm just gibbering now!
