"The Road To Nashville" 1966

Postby kev » Fri Nov 20, 2015 7:58 am

Here's a chance to see a film from 1966 featuring a huge list of names of the day - Johnny Cash, the Carter Family, Marty Robbins, Connie Smith, Bill Anderson, Waylon Jennings, Porter Wagoner, and loads more! More info here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0268582/

It was on the TalkingPictures TV channel (channel 81 on Freeview) yesterday and is repeated tomorrow morning (Saturday 21st) around 2am.

Excellent stuff! Be prepared for some terrible comedy from that Doodles bloke but the music is great! I was particularly impressed by the Stoneman Family, the female banjo and mandolin players are brilliant, bluegrass with a 60s go-go feel!

I can't easily record Freeview (I don't think..) and didn't really want to stay up until 2am to watch it. Hopefully I'll catch it again sometime.
