Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry dies in helicopter crash at 50
Troy Gentry -- one half of the country music group Montgomery Gentry -- was killed in a helicopter crash in New Jersey on Friday. He was 50 years old.
Montgomery Gentry was formed in 1999. The duo found success with songs such as “My Town,” “If You Ever Stopped Loving Me,” “Something To Be Proud Of,” “Gone,” and “Back When I Knew It All.”
Gentry is survived by his wife and two daughters.

A very controversial character, but I liked Montgomery Gentry's music. Here's a good one:

Was he the one who shot the chained up bear?

The only song of theirs I can remember is "Hillbilly Shoes".

Not speaking ill of the recently deceased, but the only thing I recall Montgomery Gentry for is being the duo who always lost to Brooks & Dunn in the awards stakes. And rightly so :wink:
