Can anyone suggest albums to consider, I already have these.......

Poor Mans Dream.
Blood Candles and Smoke.
Indians Cowboys Horses Doggs.
Songs Of The West - Cowboy Collection.

I prefer the 'Story Telling' to the folksy stuff.

Thanks.
Waylon Jennings.

The Man From God Knows Where is our old friend, the concept album. It is comes from Russell's researching his family history and is the stories of his ancestors coming from Norway and Ireland to USA. And some of the interesting characters in his family tree. As well as the songs there are spoken word episodes in between them giving more details and holding the songs together into the theme. The song Throwing Horseshoes At The Moon is just lovely and stands up well apart from this song cycle.

Also recommended is Box of Visions. You would probably like that more.
Country is a state of mind, not a state of America.
