With acoustic arrangements of Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, Bob Wills, Gram Parsons, Bob Dylan and other traditional influences East Lonesome Drifters wind their way down country paths of Americana with three part harmonies, fiddle, steel guitars, acoustic guitar and ukelele bass. Some accordion, washboard and harmonica often thrown in and the results stay true to their roots music influences while providing a subtle spin on the genre.

Hi Kev, thanks for your interest, to my knowledge we are doing one in February, March and thereafter but I don't have the dates confirmed yet. I'll post here when I know. Hope you can make it!

The first C&W night of the year went really well with our best crowd so far surprising us by turning out in numbers so soon after New Year. As Panama Red attest, the quality of guest bands has been fantastic and we're continuing with some really exciting bookings this year. Don't forget, entry is free and prices are £3 a pint until 10pm. House band East Lonesome Drifters play two sets of authentic country, bluegrass and western swing covers featuring singer Patrick Hart (originally from Pittsburgh, PA), pedal steel, fiddle, dobro and harmonies. Our guest bands represent the very best in up and coming country & americana from London, the south east and beyond. A hat is passed for musicians; if you're not entertained you don't pay!

Next month features the fantastic all-female Dana Emmanuel and the Stolen Band, after that we're looking forward to hosting friends of ours from Leicester, the ever wonderful four-piece Mr Plow. I was particularly excited to have been contacted through this board by the Jackson Creek Band who we'll be playing with in April – can't wait for that!

Unfortunately due to illness Mr Plow have had to cancel their appearance tonight. East Lonesome Drifters will play two sets of barroom honky tonk and western classics and we have special guest Felix Holt and possibly one other artist filling in. It would be great to have some support for local live music from members of this forum!

Let me tell you the Jackson Creek Band are the real deal, fantastic country music at it's best and lovely people too. We've yet to see any support for these nights from members of this board but I live in hope, it would be great to meet some of you.
