Hello
Like so many of us, I have a rather vast collection of vinyl & cassette albums that I'd really like to transfer to CD format, but apart from spending a fortune at my local friendly recording studio, how can it be done at home?
HOW DO YOU TRANSFER VINYL & CASSETTE ALBUMS TO CD

Hi Roger,
You could get one of these:
USB Music converter
and as an added bonus you'd get to listen to all the tracks again as you re-record them!

Wow ........ thanks for that information ........ and so promptly as well.
I'm gonna write a little note to Santa before I go to bed tonight cause I want ..... no ....... NEED/GOTTA HAVE ....... one in my Christmas stocking if not tomorrow even !!!!!!!
Looking at it, even a techno-numpty like me should be able to use it.
Thanks again
Roger

Hi Roger,
No problem - Firebox have some really useful stuff (and some fun but pointless stuff too!)
In order to get your tracks onto CD you'll obviously have to convert them from the mp3 format you'll get from Audacity and the easist way to do that is probably using Windows Media Player (assuming you're not using a Mac).
Fingers crossed that Santa gets your note!

Quick Roger, alter your note, Maplin is £10.00 cheaper at the moment!
Same product with £10.00 off
It pays to shop around at the moment!
(I should also point out, to save future discussion, that there are other, cheaper versions on the market but this one is noteable in that it has a built in pre-amp, which many others don't)
