Forum Etiquette

* Flaming:
Healthy debate/discussion is encouraged on this forum, but any material which constitutes libel, defamation, harassment, or abuse is strictly prohibited. Please use common sense when posting. We all know that some of the topics talked about are by their very nature divisive, but we ought to be able to discuss things in a mature and sensible fashion by respecting everybody’s right to their own opinion. Perhaps it would be a good idea if people made more use of emoticons to show the intention of the post as that's causing problems too - folks being ironic\funny and others taking them seriously.

* Spam / Advertising:
Please do not spam or advertise, except for music related items such as bands, venues , gig guides, musical equipment etc. Please don’t send chain letters or operate pyramid schemes. If anyone wants to advertise something and is unsure of whether it's allowed or not, please contact any moderator for advice.

* Offensive Content:
Please don’t use material that is sexually or otherwise obscene, racist, or otherwise overly discriminatory. This includes user pictures. Please use common sense so as not to offend common decency.


* Illegal Content:
Please don’t provide or ask for information on how to illegally obtain or provide software or music.

* Cross-posting:
Posting a thread in more than one forum is annoying. Please, only post it once in the correct forum. If you are unsure of where to post it, please contact a moderator for advice.

* Signature Size:
In order to avoid annoyance, please try and keep signatures to no more than three lines of text.


* Copyright and ownership:
