Seeing as how it's probably in a Nashville museum (going by those tags on it) I guess the answer is "no". _________________ Support your local live music scene. |

I was puzzling over that myself. They look a bit like clutch plates or chain-drive sprockets but the teeth are way too big. Maybe film cans, they're the right shape and size, but I've never seen film cans with teeth. _________________ Support your local live music scene. |

They certainly have a lot of fine cog teeth but look like die-cast alloy which isn't that strong.
Fancy wheel trims maybe. |

Ah Your back I see. Listen, if you have Cash's 57 J200, then i have John Holmes's cod piece.
Having actually played or rather strummed that giutar, i can confirm it is some instrument. I had a long talk with the guy who restored it, there's a huge story behind this instrument as you may allready know, he actually had it stolen from backstage in the latter of 1959, it then reappeared years later.
I love acoustic guitars, have a fine collection of Martins myself and a 1952 Blonde Gibson J200 along with many others. _________________ I once thought I was a Country Singer, Then an Indian convinced me I was full of Sh%t |

The above guitar pics are probably of a Gibson J200 that Johnny had in the late 50's.
It disappeared in the early 60's, either stolen or given away. there are no replicas on sale (that I can find).
There is another, version of it that is now in the Rock 'n' Roll hall of fame. See the differences ?
All of Johnny's other guitars are Martins. This is the Martin D 35 Commemorative guitar.
It costs over £3000. Maybe a little too much even for Mrs Nisbet to lavish on her son.
This '65 Fender inscribed with the words 'I shot a man in reno just to watch him die' recently sold at auction for £46,131
Edit to say that while I was making this post Ian got in first. _________________ Support your local live music scene. |

| The one in David's picture has plastic machine-head buttons whereas the other one you're showing LOM has metal buttons. |
